The Shenzhen Well-Known Brand evaluation program has been running for 23 years and is an important public-welfare platform through which Shenzhen promotes brand building among enterprises. Over the previous 22 editions, only 1,120 Shenzhen Well-Known Brands were selected — a mere four ten-thousandths of the city's total number of enterprises — yet they have contributed nearly half of the city's sales revenue and tax revenue.
